Go check the chart chooser diagrams available on the web. I’ve checked them out myself. And what I’ve found is that they are academic/research/survey focused with many, if not most, visuals that don’t apply to real-world business situations. They are organized by data type or relationship, not by the message you need to communicate, which makes them hard to use.
